In your first session, we'll discuss your goals for therapy, explore your current concerns, and start to build a trusting and open relationship. This session is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the process.

Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes, but I also offer a 30 -minute and 90-minute session. We can discuss the duration that works best for you . The goal is to ensure you have the time and space to fully work through what’s important to you.

The frequency of therapy sessions can vary depending on your personal needs and goals. In the beginning, many clients find weekly sessions helpful as they start to work through their challenges and develop new coping strategies. As you progress and gain confidence, we can adjust the schedule to fit what feels right for you. Some clients move to biweekly or monthly sessions once they’ve built momentum and feel more steady. While some people see benefits after just 1 or 2 sessions, others choose to continue therapy for 2-3 months or longer. The important thing is that we’ll work together to create a therapy plan and timeline that supports your growth and well-being every step of the way. I regularly attend supervision and peer consultation to ensure therapy is as productive and supportive as possible.

This title means that I have earned my credential to practice the controlled act of psychotherapy in Canada with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). The “Qualifying” part means that I am still accumulating the hours required by the CPRO to earn my full designation and until I reach this milestone, I am being supervised by an experienced Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO who oversees my caseload and helps guide me when needed.

I do not directly bill insurance companies. However, if your health insurance includes coverage for “Registered Psychotherapy”, then yes! You will need to input my Supervisor’s name when submitting your insurance claim. This information is available on my receipts.
